“Online shoppers prefer PCs over Mobile device when making internet purchases”, ‘International Business Times, December 02, 2013.’
Earlier people used to find it easier to browse sites on their PCs with larger screen than phone with all the options showing on the screen at the same time
rather than scrolling up and down or swiping left or right, like over phone. It is easier to compare all the things when they are on the same page. Also, people believed that it is secure to order online through PC as it protects their personal information.
But according to a recent article published on Internet Retailing on February 25, 2014, “Online shoppers have move from PC to mobile as they shop more often, but with five or few retailers.” This means that consumers are moving to shop over mobile very rapidly. There could be a number of reasons but the foremost being it makes it easier to access all the sites anywhere, it is compact and portable. Shopping over mobile is neither time based nor place based. Therefore, it is not difficult to find a person busy with handheld device. People are obsessed with their phone so much that they feel handicap without it for even a single day. It has eventually become a necessity rather than a requirement or luxury.
